Mission & Purpose

Founded in 2015, the mission of the Ranken Jordan Young Professionals Board is to support patients of the hospital and their families while promoting the “Care Beyond the Bedside^®” model within the St. Louis young professional community.

Through fundraising efforts, volunteer activities, and peer education, the Young Professionals Board members serve with the same innovation and relationship building skills that helped establish Ranken Jordan in 1941. By joining us, you will foster leadership skills, enhance your professional network and credibility, and build invaluable relationships that could benefit you for a lifetime. Above all, this is an opportunity for you to get involved with a local organization that is making waves and changing lives across the nation.

Requirements

Members of the Young Professionals Board are expected to:

Be between the age of 21-40
Support Young Professionals Board initiatives through planning, attendance, and donations
Attend and/or volunteer at 50% or more meetings and qualifying YPB events
“Give or get” an annual donation of $100 to Ranken Jordan while serving as a member

Events

In addition to participating in various fundraisers and volunteer opportunities hosted by the hospital, the Young Professionals Board puts on its own events.

Young Professional Board: A group consisting of young professionals in the age range of 21-40 who are eager about the mission and values of Ranken Jordan. These members meet every other month, host events throughout the year, and advocate for Ranken Jordan.

Friends of Ranken Jordan Advisory Group: A group that focuses on growing the public awareness of Ranken Jordan and raising more funds through special events and activities. These members give ideas, guidance, and suggestions on events. They meet quarterly, have some occasional one on one meetings and then attend Ranken Jordan events.
