Ralph and Lee Anne Quatrano; Inspiring Multigenerational Generosity

Dr. Ralph Quatrano and his wife Lee Anne believe a place like Ranken Jordan that handles all aspects of care under one roof is necessary and invaluable for families of children living with medical complexities.

Ralph and Lee Anne are generous supporters of the Optimization Zone, our in-hospital early childhood development program. They are intimately aware of the importance of opportunities for social and emotional development because their 6 youngest grandchildren range in age from 6 to 11 years.

The Quatranos actively contribute to their grandchildren’s development by helping them “understand their place and purpose in the universe and be good citizens – to appreciate how much they have and let that inspire generosity to others.” Each year, the kids donate their birthday money to a nonprofit of their choice.

This year, they pooled their money and gave it to Ranken Jordan to buy presents for patients who are in the hospital on their own birthdays. Lee Anne said, “this one really touched their hearts,” because it fostered a sense of connection with individuals – other children in the hospital.

“I still think about how Ranken Jordan changed my life.”
