Help Patients Like Angelica and Kevin
Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital prioritizes not only the care of our patients but also the experiences they endure while they are here. Whether it's a toddler who has never been home or a teen recovering from a traumatic injury or illness, our goal is to ensure both the child heals and plays just as they would if they weren’t in a hospital.
Our Care Beyond the Bedside® approach is so much more than medical treatment, therapy and rehabilitation. We incorporate play into every aspect of healing at Ranken Jordan, and we are always thinking of new ways to bring play to patients. While play is essential to childhood, it is not reimbursable by insurance. That’s why we continually assess the resources needed to provide the best possible patient experience.
As a nonprofit hospital, we rely on the generosity of donors like you to continue our mission. Your gift helps bring passionate care, recovery, and play to children on their healing journey.

FUNDRAISING GOAL

Meet Angelica
At just one year old, Angelica has already overcome more challenges than many face in a lifetime. Born with bilateral vocal cord paralysis, a condition where both vocal cords are completely unable to move. She required a tracheostomy to breathe and a gastrostomy button for feeding. Her journey has not been easy, but thanks to the incredible care and support at Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital, she is thriving in ways no one could have imagined.

Meet Kevin
At just three years old, Kevin has the courage of a superhero. Kevin came to Ranken Jordan after suffering severe burns that covered more than 20% of his body. With both second and third-degree burns, he arrived in pain — not just physically, but emotionally, too.
Before he can go home safely, his burns must continue to heal as well as a severe wound on his leg where a skin graft was taken. His burns are addressed by Ranken Jordan’s expert wound care team, and his dressing changes, which can be painful, are made bearable by child life specialists who are by his side providing the support he needs to be brave during these procedures. The locations of his burns have restricted his movements, but thanks to physical therapy, he is nearly restored to a full range of motion, now running, jumping, and playing.
